Who this is for

Lighter (a product of Florawise Solutions Private Limited, “we,” “us”) provides operations software to wedding and event businesses (“you,” “your business,” the account holder). This policy explains what we collect, why, and what happens to data your business enters about its own clients and their guests.

1. What we collect

About your business (we are the Data Fiduciary for this data):

• Account details: business name, your name, email, phone, GSTIN if provided
• Billing details for subscription payments
• Usage data: how you use Lighter, device and browser information, log data

About your clients and their guests

Entered by you. Your business is the Data Fiduciary for this data; we process it on your instructions as a Data Processor.

• Client names, contact details, event details, quotations, payments
• Guest names, phone numbers, meal preferences, plus-ones, travel details, RSVP status

2. Why we collect it

• To provide the service: run your workspace, send quotations, track vendors and expenses, send WhatsApp RSVP requests on your behalf
• To bill you for your subscription
• To improve the product and respond to support requests
• We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your clients’ or guests’ data for any purpose beyond operating the service you’ve configured

3. Your responsibility as the business using Lighter

If you enter data about your clients or their guests into Lighter, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and hold that data typically their consent, or a legitimate business relationship (they’re your client, or a guest of an event you’re organizing). We process that data only as your instructions direct.

6. Who we share data with

We share data with service providers necessary to run Lighter: cloud hosting, the Official WhatsApp Business API (Meta) for RSVP messages, Google (Calendar and Sheets sync, where you enable it), and our payment processor for billing. We do not sell data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

7. Data retention

We retain your business’s account data for as long as your account is active, and for 90 days after account closure to allow you to export your data and to meet our own legal and accounting obligations.

8. Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023

If you are an individual whose data is processed by Lighter whether as an account holder or as a guest or client entered into the system by a business using Lighter you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we (or the business using Lighter) hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request erasure of your data, subject to legal retention requirements
• Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent
• File a grievance if you believe your rights have been violated

How to exercise these rights

To exercise these rights regarding your own business account, contact us directly. To exercise them regarding data entered about you by an event business using Lighter (for example, if you’re a guest whose details were entered for an RSVP), please contact that business first, since they control the data. We’ll help them fulfil your request.

9. Grievance redressal

Grievance Officer: Founder of LighterOS. Email: support@lighteros.com. We aim to acknowledge grievances promptly and resolve them within 90 days as required under the DPDP Rules, 2025.

10. Data breach notification

In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify affected individuals and, where required, the Data Protection Board of India without undue delay, and will submit a detailed report to the Board within 72 hours as required by law.
