Built around how events actually run

For event planners: Lighter follows the work from first enquiry to final payment, leads, meetings, quotations, events broken into functions, vendors, expenses and the guest list when the event lands. Not around the one event you’re looking at today.

Most tools in this category are project-management software with a wedding template stapled on.

They track one event well and forget you have thirty more in different stages leads still being chased, quotations still being followed up, last month’s vendor payments still being reconciled. Lighter is built for the business, not the event: the same record follows a client from first enquiry through to what the event actually earned, and it’s still there in the off months when most wedding tools have nothing to show you.

No AI relationship-scoring, no predictive lead grading. Just the actual state of every enquiry, in one place, that a person can read and act on.

Why a generic sales tool does not fit an event business

A generic sales tool models a deal: one value, one close date, one owner. An event planner has to model a wedding five functions, forty vendors, three hundred guests, a quotation that changes twice, an advance, a balance, and a profit number you only learn at the end.

Lighter is built on that shape. The lead, the event, the functions, the vendors, the quotations, the expenses and the guests are the same record moving forward, not seven tools stitched together.

Leads, follow-ups and the people chasing them

Every enquiry gets an owner, a follow-up date and a source. Calls, meetings and notes sit on the record, so the person picking it up on Monday can see what was said on Friday.

More on lead management

The pipeline, in the words the product uses

A lead moves Fresh → Follow Up → Converted to Opportunity → Won or Lost. When it is won it becomes an event, and the details carry across rather than being retyped.

Lost leads keep their reason, so the pattern in what you are losing is visible instead of anecdotal.

Meetings that end up on the right calendar

A meeting has an agenda, invitees and an outcome recorded when it ends. Each person connects their own Google account, so the meeting and its follow-up reminder appear on the assignee’s calendar and changes made in Google flow back.

From the enquiry into the event

The same record becomes an event with functions, a checklist, vendors, a venue, a quotation and a set of expenses. Nothing is re-entered at the handover between sales and production, because there is no handover between systems.

How event operations work

And the guests, when it gets that far

Guest lists, RSVP collection over the Official WhatsApp Business API and reminders to the guests still pending in the same system that holds the quotation and the vendor list.

WhatsApp RSVP

Guest and WhatsApp RSVP features are available on the Enterprise plan.

Eight roles, enforced on the server

Sales works in leads, customers, meetings and quotations. Production works in events, vendors and expenses. Accounts works in finance. What a role cannot see is blocked by the API, not hidden by the interface.
